I used to hate any forms of routine. Since I didn’t have consistency in childhood, any form of routine felt boring and uncreative at best and frustrating at worst. However, after a success mentor convinced me to try a daily routine, I began experiencing many benefits. I felt calmer and more relaxed, and I began to trust the Universe more, so my attitude improved.
Most successful people have a daily morning routine to set their day on the right track. Even if you already have a routine, check out my ideas below to see if there is anything you’d like to add to yours.
First of all, let me describe what I mean by a daily routine. Since I teach about spirituality and energy, as well as success practices, the 20-min fast-paced daily routine I recommend weaves together meditation, visualization, energy tune-up, affirmation, and committing to accomplishment. It sets me up for getting the most out of my day.
Attitude Adjustment
I frequently wake up with some stressful thought or worries, so I trained myself to be ready; I shift my attitude with gratitude. Next, I go into visualizing.
Repeating Visualizations and Affirmations of Dreams Come True
I feel it’s highly productive to “fantasize” about living the life where my dreams have come true. As long as I’m willing to take action on those dreams, I can partner with the universe by sending this blueprint for manifestation. I imagine my dreams in 360-degree full sensory detail.
Morning Meditation with Energy Visualizations and Spiritual Connection
In keeping with the list of 33 daily habits of successful people, I recommend morning meditation. In my meditation, I connect with spiritual rejuvenating sources and do several energy healing visualizations that clear and balance my energy.
I send my love to the divine, to my highest guides, and connect in with the seven directions – Earth Air Fire and Water, the heartbeat at the center of Mother Earth, the heartbeat at the center of the Universe, and the Central heartbeat of potential that connects all the directions.
I balance, clear and strengthen (“tune-up”) my energy every day, run Earth and Universal energies along my spine, through my chakras and clear my energy field of negative and foreign energies and resolve blocks. The visualizations I’ve been using in meditation for decades evident, protect and rejuvenate, so I start every day feeling grounded centered and empowered. I breathe and do 1 minute of silence (as best as I can!) and open and amplify my divine heart. I ask the divine to make me a clear an open channel for divine love to flow through me.
Daily Charity Prayers
In my meditation I also pray for the people who need support, and my favorite causes. I regularly pray that everyone has fresh drinking water and for the health of our honey bees. I ask for Divine Grace to come to any places in the world I’m aware of needing special attention.
Deciding Who to BE for the Day
An essential feature of my daily routine is deciding how I am going to BE for the day. I use I AM statements to invoke the power of my Divine Self.
My choices of Beingness relate to my inspired task list for the day, as well as affirmations to overcome any personal limitations I’ve been experiencing lately. For example, to write my blog post, I will declare: “I AM being in my inspired creative flow.” It’s incredible how much time you can save by choosing this. Instead of flailing about in my words and ideas, I step into my flow and tasks take about 30% of the normal messy human time. It’s like accessing a divine efficiency superpower!
What are the benefits of a daily routine?
- Daily routine creates a sense of safety and trust in the universe at a deeper level. I learned from a teacher that when kids don’t have routines, they are always anxious about accidentally breaking the rules and getting into trouble. When kids know the rules and boundaries, they can feel prosperous, safe and secure, and as adults, we feel the universe has our back.
- As you repeatedly visualize and see your dreams coming true 360 degrees around you in a real and visceral way, you are programming your mind, emotions, and body to create that reality. With positive repetition, you re-write the structure of your brain and harness the motivational power of your subconscious, changing it to an ally instead of a thwarter.
- Energy “tune-up” routines help you feel calm, confident and poised in challenging external and internal situations, such as difficult people and negative self-talk. You are less likely to react to a situation randomly, and more likely to respond from an empowered place of choice.
- Choosing who to BE for the day makes it easier to stick with that declared choice no matter what comes up. If negative self-talk comes up, you can say “Stop, I already decided who I am going to be.” In this way you’ll stay focused on your flow, maintaining a positive attitude and high vibes, which cascades into high productivity and satisfaction with your day.
Don’t Yet have a Daily Routine? How to start…
These are my favorite ways to start the day, and the reasons why they’re my favorite. If you don’t have a daily routine to connect with successful divine self, borrow inspirations from whatever has crossed your path, such as memes, poems, chants. Just start with anything so you can get the benefits and make your life more successful.
Aim for about 5-10 minutes first thing every morning to get your day on the right track. Use a note card to remember all the little parts of your routine until you can memorize it. Let your routine evolve for a little while until it feels high vibe, then stick with it for a month at a time to harvest the benefits of repetition. Good luck and have fun!
